Complete Cast Set for Hollywood Arms

Michele Pawk, Donna Lynn Champlin and nine-year-old newcomer Sara Niemietz will star in the Goodman Theatre production of Hollywood Arms alongside previously announced leads Linda Lavin and Frank Wood. Patrick Clear, Emily Graham-Handley, Nicolas King, Christian Kohn and Barbara E. Robertson will also appear in the play.

Carrie Hamilton and Carol Burnett's Hollywood Arms, based on Burnett’s memoir One More Time, is a bittersweet story set in a less-than-glamorous Hollywood neighborhood in pre and post-World War II. It follows a character named Helen on her journey from childhood to young woman. The cast includes Helen’s pill-popping Christian Scientist grandmother (who raised her), her often-absent mother and her alcoholic father.

Pawk most recently appeared on Broadway in Chicago. Champlin was featured in the Broadway production By Jeeves, which ran on Broadway earlier this season. Niemietz, who was named ‘Female Vocalist of the Year’ at the North America Country Music Associations, International (NACMAI) competition in 2001, is making her professional stage debut with Hollywood Arms.

Hollywood Arms, directed by the legendary Harold Prince, will run at the Goodman from April 19 through June 1. The production will probably come to New York after the Chicago mounting.
